Oh boy .. what an incredible weekend .. so much to talk about its tough to know where to start.

The Fred .. What a lovely venue! Its an amphitheater surrounded by trees that kinda reminded me of summer camp. The staff was nothing less than friendly and accommodating hosts. Special thanks to Nancy and the whole staff for making me feel so welcome.

The Shows .. I have to first talk about the energy of the audience. When you have an electric show, the crowd becomes I guess less inhibited. <G> The high energy was incredible and it definitely affected Peter and the rest of the Bad Daddies in such an amazing way.

And while the humidity on Friday was truly hampering, it didn't stop Peter from putting on a truly amazing performance.

The latest addition to the setlist was "Save Me" which was awesome. You really got to hear how talented the Bad Daddies are with the great solos performed by Tony, Bruce and Gene with terrific rhythms performed by Boh, Dave and Joe. Some phenomenal jams! Kim was RIGHT ON with her vocals despite the daunting temperatures. She is truly gifted.

But SATURDAY was a special moment for me because they decided to add "Perfect World" to the set. "Perfect World" is probably my MOST FAVORITE tune besides "Restless Heart" and to hear Peter sing it live made it even more special. Now considering that they had just learned to play it that afternoon, makes you truly appreciate how talented this band is.

Clubbers Gone WILD!! I tell ya, these folks really know how to PARTY! I know I didn't have a chance to keep up with them. The MGs were a blast as always.

One of the clubbers was kind enough to acknowledge how much work is involved with putting the MGs together and this is what I told him.

This is not "work" for me. "Work" is what I do about 55 hours a week at home. You get up everyday and you do what you can to make a living in a very challenging economy. Hence, the fan club is not "work." Its a "labor of love." I am so grateful to help the fans connect with Peter and Peter to connect with his fans. I am also honored to be able to have my own personal connection with all the folks (over 3,000 of them in total) that either post here, email me at the fan club, "tweet" with me or whatever. And I tell ya .. it never gets dull. ::grin::

Big shout-outs to .. Leslie, Andrea, Linda M, Rosemarie and her husband John, Gerri, Kelly, Jen, Diane S who drove 20 hours to attend the show, Don and family, Derrick, Larry (Laredog), Brendan (got the BAH-tender's attention .. gotta love that Bah-ston accent), Debbie G and all the "bar flies" LOL who were able to travel to the show.

But MOST importantly spending some much needed quality time with Kim D and her husband Ron. Lots of new memories to share even if it was a "Death tour" in Jonesboro, GA LOL!

Of course, it goes without saying .. nah I'll say it anyway .. how special my fave "blonde boys" from Ideeeeho Peter and Doug are to me.

Peter always SWEET, KIND and WONDERFUL .. can't say THAT enough!! And to Doug for always going the extra mile to make sure the clubbers and myself are happy.

Looking forward to creating even more FAB memories down the road!

Tickets available here. There will be live and silent auctions, bucket raffles, and great food with all proceeds supporting Carrie's Fund.

Carrie Hudek-Chiuso tragically lost her life at age 33, a victim of a senseless crime at the Lane Bryant robbery in Tinley Park, IL. She dedicated her short life to working with disadvantaged kids, from street gang intervention in Humboldt Park in Chicago to counseling high school students at Homewood-Flossmoor High School. See Carrie's resume.

Carrie's Fund was formed to help fund the continuing education of disadvantaged kids, whether through college, trade school, etc. There are no administrative fees, as this fund will be run by the family in conjunction with H/F High School.

"David Foster and Friends" Concert Event, May 23, 2008, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas

Hey all ..

Figured that I'd stop in and tell ya about this WONDERFUL show!

Just a bit of a background, this event featured artists that have worked with 15 time Grammy Award winner David Foster but of course, I was there to see Peter.

The concert was shot on film for PBS with a DVD to be released around September. The PBS special is scheduled to air in December so stay tuned.

There are only a few times that a gal can get all dressed up and attend such a fancy event. And this was high class all the way!

The staging was gorgeous with various shades of blue lighting illuminating the area. The performance area had two tiers with some artists starting at the top with the option of walking down one of two winding staircases. There was a full orchestra as well as an electric band featuring keyboard player Greg Phillangaines. (probably not spelling this correctly but he is a very notable musician.)

They started the concert with a video montage of all the artists scheduled to perform. Of course, when they showed footage of Peter, I was screaming like crazy. :D

David introduced Peter with a genuine warmth.

Peter's set was pretty much the same as was performed in 2002 (?) for the Ronald McDonald House Charity event in Chicago and he really sounded wonderful. The set included "You're the Inspiration," "Glory of Love" and "If You Leave Me Now." He and David exchanged some fun banter with Peter giving David a hard time about wanting to team up and write again.

Other performances that really really touched me were by Andrea Boccelli and most significantly Josh Grobin.

After the show, I got to meet Peter's brother Kenny and his wife Elisa. Totally cool .. really fun!!!

Be sure to check out Kenny's mySpace page. Lots of great music and fun photos!

It was also great to see Peter's daughter, the very adorable Senna, once again.

And of course, the BIGGEST mistake I made was not high-tailin' out with Kenny and Elisa to the after party of which I was told was WILD. But as I think back and based on what Kenny blogged on his mySpace page, I probably would have been sent home on a gurney. .. ..

WARM THANKS and appreciation to Peter (and Doug) for giving me the opportunity to feel like a V.I.P. for a night. :D

Take care,
Linda
